Driving along the Red Lodge-Cooke City Highway (a.k.a Beartooth Highway) is always a delight for me and Brett to do because of the beautiful scenery all around. One of these wonderful views is Twin Lakes that we passed by on our way to Yellowstone. These deep blue bodies of water, sitting on the base of the Bear Mountains, are an inspiring sight to look at for the landscape surrounding them, complete with forests and rock formations. As I took the photo, wanting to keep for myself this wonderful memory, I chanced upon a perfect view; clear blue sky (with some patch of clouds), the majestic mountain range on the horizon, and the twin lakes below. If you're going to want to see this view for yourself, shortly after the state line, watch for a turnout on the west side of the road -the right side, if you’re headed towards Yellowstone. This section is one of the most beautiful views to capture, but you might not be able to locate it through your phone and easily drive by it so you have to drive slowly to see the place. For those who are into hiking, there is a worn trail circling the lake, which leads to the outlet stream and variable fishing spots around the lake. To reach the upper lake you'll probably want to cross the outlet stream. It's also necessary to know the weather conditions and proceed with caution or wait altogether if it’s a snowstorm. The weather can change on a dime and temporarily shut down the Beartooth Highway, so check with the National Weather Service before you hit the road.Nevertheless, the Twin Lakes at Beartooth Mountain is a sight you shouldn't miss when passing by this highway.Add the beauty of the Twin Lakes of the Beartooth Mountains to your home. I recently had to walk up Table Mountain for work and the prospect felt quite daunting as I hadn’t walked up in a few years.I’m a bit older now, not as fit, it is mid-winter, and it’squite a steep hike up scrambling over rocks. All which contributed to my excitement and un-ease.The prep stageI have friends who run up the mountain in less than an hour and I realised that even though they couldn’t be my benchmark I could ask them for time frames and any suggestions – which they happily passed on. Take water, a jacket, a snack bar, and hiking sticks, and be careful, the rocks are wet.The journey. With this information I decided to flip the whole thing on its head. My deadline was that I had to be up on top before sundown as I couldn’t be hiking in the dark. I knew what my goal was, and instead of seeing it as something I had to accomplish, I decided to see it as an adventure, taking lots of breaks-not only to sip on water, but also to enjoy the view of the city below and the surrounding mountain faces. And how did I end up doing it?One step at a time. And along the way I got to see this cable car framed in a rocky outcrop.Sometimes it just takes reframing of a task to make it less daunting and remembering to enjoy the view along the way.#createfulness #personalgrowth #leadershipdevelopment #professionaldevelopment #photofriday #photography

Hello...is this thing on? It's been a while.Since landing in #Canada at the end of November, it's been an amazing couple of months getting used to all the new sights and sounds of #Edmonton. Adjusting to the weather during a very 'mild' winter, I mean it only dropped down to -40 (oC) for couple of days, currently sitting at -23. But hey, that's what the locals call mild, so I will too....I think. So what have I been up to or learnt?- Driven for 26 hours to #Whistler and back for new year - I don't ski or snowboard (yet) just visiting friends. Whistler is like Disneyland for skiers, a slightly surreal experience.- Bought a van and have started converting it to a camper van, more on this later - The hardest part so far has been battling the cold weather and trying to wrap my head around electrical systems. Any tips or advice?- Gone hiking through trails and national parks- Living on the edge of Edmonton's Chinatown, got to watch the #ChineseNewYear celebrations- When it's cold, there's 2 options available for you. Option 1 - Wrap up with lots of layers, and just get on with it. This is the preferred option when the temperature is above -25. Option 2 - Do not, under any circumstances, leave the house unless absolutely necessary. This is reserved for colder than -25 and/or heavy snowfall conditions. Side note: When there has been heavy snowfall, the lanes on the roads are irrelevant, you either follow the car in front or just pick a lane and go for it (who's lane is it anyway?)- Appreciating the ability to turn right on a red light (Why is this not in the UK?)I'm sure there's more that I could add, but until I can think of more. Here's some pictures!#Photography #travel #photographer #roadtrip #explorecanada #chinesenewyear2024 #NikonPhotographer #ElkIsland

Two Different Moods Of Same Magical Moment At Tranquil Late Night Key West Harbor - IMRAN™One late dark and tranquil cool night, walking along the deserted Key West harbor, I captured several beautiful moments and scenes. This one was interesting. Some photographers will post the same photo with multiple edits. I usually try to convey the mood of the moment I captured by posting just one version with the least editing possible. In this case, I am sharing two versions (together) with a very slight difference in brightness. Can you see how the two pictures convey two different moods? The first one conveys to me a sense of solitude, and tranquility, a time of quiet reflection (although, ironically, the image has fewer actual reflections). The second feels a bit more of a walk along a touristy boardwalk looking at beautiful boats in a popular travel destination.Which one do you like more? That is why I always say, how we want to feel about any given moment in life is as much based on what exists and is visible to us as it is based on how we choose to see things, how we choose to respond, how to choose to feel.Happiness is not always possible in every single circumstance. However, living a life full of happiness and joy are choices within our minds and souls. What do you think? Do you feel the images convey other emotions and ideas?© 2024 IMRAN™ #IMRAN #Florida #FloridaKeys #sunset #winter #travelogue #travel #leisure #seaside #beach #boating #harbor #yachting #boats #yachts #marina #lifestyle #luxury #boardwalk #night #sky #tourism #philosophy #photography #happiness #tranquility

Scuba Business with Unseen Scuba & Mark Thomas ••• Mark and Shelly Photography. For your scuba dive marketing program, start by capturing a joyful portrait of your customer in their wetsuit. During their pool session, get photos both above and underwater. Instead of photos, use a short video clip for stride entries. Be sure to take a group photo in the pool to highlight the shared experience. Before their first open water dive, get an excited portrait of the student, but avoid taking photos during the dive itself to allow them to get comfortable. Once they are at ease in the open water, take a few shots: one above water, one underwater, and another with their group. Finally, wrap up with a group photo of everyone proudly holding their certificates.

CampSite 360 | Elevate your campground | Make more money & Increase your bookings with captivating visuals & virtual tours

Long term campgrounds don't need a virtual tour...The common belief is that virtual tours primarily benefit overnight campers. But what about those people on your seasonal waiting list? When a site opens up, what's the first thing your new guest asks? "Can we see the site?" This usually happens in the winter, after you have closed the park which brings its own set of challenges. Bringing in guests during the off-season not only poses liability issues (your insurance might not cover incidents when the park is closed) but also requires unnecessary travel. The biggest problem? You're assuming a lot of risk just to show a site. Here's where Virtual Tours step in.They offer these guests the ability to view every campsite without ever needing to be there in person. For seasonal site sales alone, this can save thousands of dollars and days worth of time. So, even if your campground is primarily seasonal, a virtual tour is still important. It's not just about catering to overnighters; it's about offering accessibility, reducing risk, and saving resources. #virtualtours #CampSite360 #campgrounds #360virtualtours #RVLife #photography
